Overview<\/b><\/h4>

Edit Assets lets you assemble an exact list of assets without building filters. You can search for assets one at a time, paste many Asset IDs or Serial Numbers at once, or scan them with a connected scanner. Once your list is ready, you can filter it, export it, and run a bulk or batch edit on the assets you select.<\/span><\/p>

There are three ways to add assets to your list:<\/span><\/p>

  • Search<\/b>:\u00a0type an Asset ID or Serial Number and pick from the suggestions.<\/span><\/li>
  • Bulk paste<\/b>: paste many Asset IDs or Serial Numbers separated by commas, tabs, or new lines.<\/span><\/li>
  • Scan<\/b>: scan assets with a hardware scanner connected to your computer.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    How to use it<\/b><\/span><\/h4>

    Open the Edit Assets view<\/b><\/p>

    1. From the left menu, open <\/span>Assets<\/b> and go to the <\/span>Actions<\/b> page.<\/span><\/li>
    2. In the <\/span>Batch Operations<\/b> section, click <\/span>Edit<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>

      Add a single asset by searching<\/b><\/p>

      1. Click into the <\/span>Search<\/b> field.<\/span><\/li>
      2. Type part of an <\/span>Asset ID<\/b> or <\/span>Serial Number<\/b> \u2014 Onflo matches on both.<\/span><\/li>

        Add multiple assets at once<\/b><\/p>

        To add many assets in one go, paste a list of identifiers into the search field.<\/span><\/p>

        1. Copy your <\/span>Asset IDs<\/b> or <\/span>Serial Numbers<\/b>. They can be separated by commas, tabs, or new lines.<\/span><\/li>
        2. Paste them into the <\/span>Search<\/b> field. Onflo trims extra spaces and ignores letter case.<\/span><\/li>
        3. Click <\/span>Select all the assets entered in the table<\/b>, or press <\/span>Enter<\/b>, to add every match at once.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

          Review IDs that didn\u2019t match<\/strong><\/p>

          If any entries don\u2019t match an asset, Onflo shows a message listing them. This message stays on screen until you close it, so nothing slips past you. Every asset that <\/span>did<\/b> match is still added to your list.<\/span><\/p>

          From the message you can:<\/span><\/p>

          • Copy a <\/span>single<\/b> ID to look into it, or<\/span><\/li>
          • Copy <\/span>all<\/b> the unmatched IDs at once as a comma-separated list to correct your source.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

            Scan assets into your list<\/b><\/p>

            1. Make sure your <\/span>scanner<\/b> is connected to your computer.<\/span><\/li>
            2. Click the <\/span>scan<\/b> button next to the search field.<\/span><\/li>
            3. Scan an asset \u2014 it is added to your list automatically, with no extra step.<\/span><\/li>
            4. Continue scanning as many assets as you need.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

              If you scan an asset that is already in your list, Onflo lets you know instead of adding a duplicate.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

              Filter, export, and page through your list<\/b><\/p>

              Once your list has assets, you can refine and save it:<\/span><\/p>

              • Use the <\/span>filter<\/b> to narrow the list further.<\/span><\/li>
              • Export<\/b> the list to CSV or Excel (XLSX).<\/span><\/li>
              • Lists show up to 5<\/span>00 assets.<\/b><\/li>
              • Select assets and run a bulk or batch edit<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                1. Tick the checkbox on each asset you want, or use the header checkbox to select them all.<\/span><\/li>
                2. In the selection bar, choose <\/span>Bulk Edit<\/b> or <\/span>Batch Edit<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
